Terms and Conditions for Shams Hotels and Resorts
Welcome to Shams Hotels and Resorts. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for all bookings and stays at any hotel operating under our brand.
Please read these terms carefully. By making a reservation, you agree to be bound by these conditions.
Introduction
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made for any hotel operating under the brand “Shams Hotels and Resorts.” Your legal contract will be with the specific legal entity that owns and operates the hotel you have booked. The name and details of this entity will be stated on your booking confirmation.
- Reservations and Authorized Booking Channels
- Official Channels: Shams Hotels and Resorts is only responsible for reservations made directly through its official website (shamshotels.com), official reservations phone/email, or through specifically authorized and recognized travel partners.
- Unauthorized and Fraudulent Bookings: The hotel will not honor any reservation and will not be liable for any deposits or payments made through unauthorized third-party websites, fraudulent platforms, or any unverified travel agent. We are not affiliated with any entity that is not an officially recognized partner. Guests bear the full risk and loss of any transaction made through an unauthorized channel.
- Guest Responsibility: It is the guest’s responsibility to verify the legitimacy of their booking source. If you are unsure about a website or agent, we strongly advise you to contact our central reservations office directly to confirm their status before making a payment.
- Management of Legitimate Third-Party Bookings: For reservations made through a legitimate and authorized partner (e.g., the official Booking.com, Expedia, your tour operator), any changes, modifications, or cancellations must be made directly through that original booking platform or agent. The hotel cannot directly modify or cancel these reservations and is not authorized to process refunds for them.
- Deposit, Payment, and Rates
- Deposit: A deposit equivalent to the cost of the first night of your stay is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance for the total cost of your reservation will be automatically charged to your payment method on file seven (7) days prior to your scheduled arrival date. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure the payment method is valid and has sufficient funds. Failure to process the final payment may result in the cancellation of your reservation.
- Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments in US Dollars ($) and Euros (€). We also accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) and bank transfers.
- Rates: All quoted rates are inclusive of all applicable service charges and government taxes.
- Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Your cancellation policy is determined by the date you notify the hotel of the cancellation.
- Cancellations More Than 14 Days Prior to Arrival: You will receive a full refund of your one-night deposit.
- Cancellations Between 7 and 14 Days Prior to Arrival: Your one-night deposit is non-refundable and will be retained by the hotel as a cancellation fee.
- Cancellations 7 Days or Less Prior to Arrival & No-Shows: The reservation becomes fully non-refundable seven (7) days prior to arrival. Any cancellation made within this period, or in the event of a no-show, will result in the forfeiture of the full amount of your entire booked stay. No refunds will be issued.
